The Department of Art at WCSU has good reason to be proud of their students as a handful of WCSU art students have recently received recognition from the Connecticut Art Directors Club (CADC) for their outstanding work.
WCSU students Erin Manion, Jacqueline Chakar, Eric Hoffman and Christopher Gabriel were honored with the CADC’s Gold Medal Award for their collaboration on “Prisma,” a 20-page booklet compiling the annual WCSU senior student projects.
The award was presented by the prestigious Connecticut Art Directors Club (CADC) at the organization’s 40th Year Celebration & Annual Awards event. For those unfamiliar with the organization’s reputation, the CADC is a professional organization with members currently operating in various mediums on the professional artistic landscape.
Jack Tom, WCSU assistant professor of illustration who worked with the awarded students, expressed his elation at the award by stating, “We’re very proud of our art students for their talents and involvement.”
Well done, WCSU Art Department!
