The Western Connecticut men’s basketball come back and win in overtime against Plymouth State on Saturday on senior day. The Colonials came back from a nine point deficit to tie the game up and send it to overtime.
Senior guard Phil Starks took over the overtime to lead the Colonials to a 86-74 victory. Starks finished the game with 33 points, a season high for him. There was four seniors that went out on top and with this win was able to guarantee themselves in the LEC playoffs.
Phil Starks, Luis Bridtter, Ryan Belote, and Jerry Washington were the four seniors that are grateful to be going out on top.
The Colonials will be playing at UMASS Dartmouth on Wednesday February 24th at 7:30 p.m. This will be a interesting match-up as they both have a 15-10 record. It looks like it might come down to a overtime game again.
