Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra presents “Scheherazade”

Need plans for your Valentine’s Day weekend? Consider the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra (RSO) from which the concert “Redemption through Love,” to be conducted by former RSO Assistant Music Director Petko Dimitrov, will be held.

The program will include the classic piece “Scheherazade,” adapted heavily in all facets of entertainment from film to golf due to its massive appeal.

The event takes place at the Anne S. Richardson Auditorium in Ridgefield High School, Saturday night at 8 p.m. on Feb. 13.

You can also check out “Concert Conversations” prior to the concert at 7 p.m. hosted by renowned musicologist Michael Lankester, in which he’ll fill audiences in on some of the musical numbers’ backstories.
