Do you want to celebrate the start of the new Lunar New Year with a bang, with a hot chocolate bar, baked goods, and fun activities to do? Come on and celebrate with the Honors Student Organization (HSO) this Thursday, Feb. 4, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Midtown student center.

Enjoy a variety of Chinese New Year-related activities, such as origami New Years resolution hearts, some small giveaways, and a raffle.

The HSO will be raffling off three gift cards as raffle prizes this year.

In the past, some of the activities and giveaways included paper Chinese finger traps, fortune fish, reusable chopsticks, origami, beaded bracelets, and gift cards as raffle prizes.

There will also be a bake sale, and in addition a hot chocolate bar with assorted topping that will be free for all students.

This will be the third year since the HSO has started hosting this event; the fundraising event in the past has been successful according to HSO members.
